Mentorship and Apprenticeship Program

Tierra Rituals’ mentorship and apprenticeship programs will be led by Lidia Ruelo-Salazar and will go beyond the fundamentals of Curanderismo practices, delving into topics such as limpias, soul retrieval, advance plant medicine making, practice holding platicas, trauma-informed facilitation, journey drumming, mutual aid, participation in fire ceremony. Additionally, participants will engage in abolitionist framework talking circles and transformative justice practices aimed at fostering healing and accountability within communities. We will also continue deepening our understanding and practice of healing justice, harm reduction, and transformative justice principles within an abolitionist framework, fostering collective well-being.

Cost: The total price for each annual cycle is $900. A down payment of $200 is due before the cycle begins and subsequent monthly installments of $70 will follow in June. All camping trips are free for participants in the mentorship program.

Your active participation in the monthly gatherings is important (some sessions can be joined online). Active participation symbolizes our dedication to instilling discipline and commitment.

Minimum Requirements:

Honoring and reclaiming ancestral medicine through a focus on Curanderismo and traditional medicine-making methods, while celebrating the unique wisdom and rituals of individual ancestral lineages.
Integrating these ancestral healing traditions into their personal and professional lives, whether as healing practitioners or in their personal daily practice.
Cultivating spiritual hygiene and discernment regarding the expectations of healing services.
Exploring healing justice, harm reduction, and transformative justice principles within an abolitionist framework, fostering collective well-being.
Cultivating mutual aid and community support networks to uplift and empower each other on our healing journeys, while also organizing movement leaders to advocate for systemic change.
Work on overcoming fears surrounding the expression of healing gifts, known as "don."
Engaging in the vital process of decolonizing healing practices and healer identities.
Discovering resonant Curanderismo practices and identify ideal settings for application.
Establishing boundaries and create inclusive, accessible healing environments.
